Not everything I’ve made fits neatly into “product design.” This section captures explorations in packaging, typography, film, and branding; projects rooted in curiosity and craft, and foundational to how I design systems, experiences, and narratives today.

The Earthling Co

I created a cohesive visual identity and packaging system for The Earthling Co., designed to capture the brand’s values of sustainability, simplicity, and mindful living. The goal was to build a flexible design framework that could adapt seamlessly across packaging, digital platforms, and marketing materials, while still feeling warm, approachable, and rooted in an earth-first mindset.

Along with setting the overall art direction, I designed modular packaging elements and developed 3D assets used throughout the website and product catalog. Together, these details helped translate the brand’s values into visuals that feel both tactile and intentional.

Opulence Display

Over the course of 11 weeks, I designed and digitized 119 glyphs as part of an in-depth exploration of type design. Rather than treating each letter as a separate form, I approached the project as a complete system, one built on shared rules of proportion, rhythm, contrast, and spacing.

The final typeface feels cohesive and expressive, yet remains highly functional. It shows how type design is more than aesthetic decisions: it’s a structured design process where every detail supports a unified whole. Though conceptually driven, the end result emphasizes clarity, consistency, and scalability across different contexts.

Hennepin Art Labs

I created a visual identity and brand strategy for Hennepin Art Labs that captures the bold, experimental spirit and diverse practices of its members. Rooted in the industrial character of the former General Mills Laboratories, the identity reflects the organization’s physical setting while staying flexible enough to support a wide range of artistic expression.

This work reinforces Hennepin Art Labs’ mission to inspire and engage the community through dynamic exhibitions and programs that highlight both emerging and established artists.

Light as Feathers

Light as Feathers is a quiet, intimate portrait of adolescence—a time marked by fragility, momentum, and sudden change. Instead of leaning on overt drama, the film unfolds through small, cumulative moments that gather emotional weight as they build. Shot over several years, it embraces patience and closeness rather than compressing its story into a neat arc.

I worked as a producer alongside director Rosanne Pel, filming in my hometown with my family and friends. Their non-professional performances lend the film a raw, genuine quality that makes its world feel deeply real. Light as Feathers was an official selection at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
